This is the detailed SmartOne guide. If you are not sure which app or login type your device needs, start with our IPTV setup hub for Canada and come back here for the step-by-step. Our apps guide compares SmartOne with the other TV-store players.
SmartOne IPTV (smartone-iptv.com) is a player app for smart TVs that loads a playlist or login you register against the TV’s MAC address on the developer’s website. It carries no channels of its own — the developer says so in as many words — and it needs its own licence after a trial, bought from the developer, not from us. This guide covers which TVs run it, how to install and activate it, and how to add your IPTV Canada Neo service.
Which TVs run SmartOne
According to the developer’s site, SmartOne IPTV is available for:
- Samsung smart TVs on Tizen and older Orsay models, from Samsung Apps.
- LG smart TVs on webOS and older Netcast models, from the LG Content Store.
- Android TV and Fire TV, from the device’s own store.
- VIDAA, Foxxum and Zeasn platforms, which covers Hisense, Toshiba, TCL, Panasonic, Sharp, Vestel, Hitachi and Telefunken sets built on those systems.
The developer does not list Apple TV, iPhone, iPad, Windows or Roku, so use another player there — our apps guide names one for each — and note that IPTV Canada Neo does not support Roku at all.
Install SmartOne and find its MAC address
- Open your TV’s app store, search for SmartOne IPTV and install it.
- Open the app. Its start screen shows the MAC address the developer uses to identify your TV; write it down or photograph it. Every step that follows is tied to that address.
- You can use the app straight away: the developer’s trial runs for 15 days from first use.
The trial and the app licence
After the 15-day trial the app needs a licence bought on the developer’s activation page: you enter the TV’s MAC address, choose a yearly or lifetime licence and pay there. The developer publishes the amounts on that page and they can change, so check it rather than a guide. Two things to keep apart: the SmartOne licence pays for the player on that one TV, and your IPTV Canada Neo subscription pays for the channels — see our plans and refund policy for ours. The developer’s site is where to ask about its licence.
Add your IPTV Canada Neo service
SmartOne does not take the login on the TV itself. You register it on the developer’s upload page against the MAC address, and the TV picks it up. The page currently accepts six formats; two of them match what our welcome email contains, so choose either:
- Open the upload page on a phone or computer and enter the TV’s MAC address and a playlist name of your choice.
- Choose the playlist type. For Xtream server info, enter the server address, port, username and password from your welcome email. For M3U playlist, paste the M3U link instead, and the EPG link in the optional EPG field if you want programme information.
- Send the form, then go back to the TV and reload the app (close and reopen it if there is no reload option). Your channels load from the registered playlist.
The developer also lists XUI.One, 1-Stream and Stalker portal entries on the same page; you will not need them with our service.
If it doesn’t load
- Nothing appears after uploading: check the MAC address you typed against the one on the TV screen — one wrong character sends the playlist to a different TV. Re-send, then reload the app.
- “Trial expired” or a licence message: the 15 days are up; activate on the developer’s page with the same MAC address.
- Channels load but freeze or buffer: work through our stream performance guide.
- New TV: the MAC address changes, so the playlist has to be registered again and the licence is per TV.
- Anything about your line itself: WhatsApp or the contact page.
FAQ
How long is the SmartOne IPTV trial?
The developer’s activation page states 15 days to test the app before paying. The trial is tied to the TV’s MAC address.
What does the SmartOne licence cost?
The developer sells a yearly and a lifetime licence per MAC address; the amounts are on its activation page and can change. This licence pays for the player only — your IPTV Canada Neo subscription is separate.
Which login types does SmartOne accept?
On its upload page the developer lists Xtream playlist URL, Xtream server details (address, port, username, password), XUI.One, 1-Stream, M3U playlist with optional EPG URL, and Stalker portal. With IPTV Canada Neo, use the Xtream server details or the M3U link.
Which TVs run SmartOne IPTV?
The developer lists Samsung (Tizen and Orsay), LG (webOS and Netcast), Android TV, Fire TV, and VIDAA, Foxxum and Zeasn-based sets from brands such as Hisense, Toshiba, TCL, Panasonic and Vestel. It does not list Apple TV, iPhone, iPad or Roku, and IPTV Canada Neo does not support Roku.
Does SmartOne IPTV include channels?
No. The developer states that no channels or streams come with activation and that it offers no subscriptions or content of any kind. Your channels come from the service you add; our guide to IPTV and Canadian law explains what the law looks at.
