This is the detailed Net IPTV guide. If you are not sure which app or login type your device needs, start with our IPTV setup hub for Canada and come back here for the step-by-step. Our apps guide compares the smart-TV players before you commit to an activation fee.
Net IPTV — “Net ipTV” in the stores, netiptv.eu — is a playlist player for smart TVs and mobile devices. It has no channels of its own: it plays the M3U playlist you register against the TV’s MAC address on the developer’s website. The app is free to try and then needs an activation bought from the developer, not from us.
Which devices run Net IPTV
According to the developer’s site, Net IPTV is available for Samsung Tizen TVs (2016 to 2020 models), LG TVs on webOS 1.0 to 5.0, Sony Bravia, Android phones and Android TV, Apple TV, iPhone and iPad, and TCL, Philips, Hisense/VIDAA and Xiaomi sets. Install it only from the store built into the device:
- Samsung: Samsung Apps on the TV, app name “Net ipTV”.
- LG: the LG Content Store.
- Android and Android TV: Google Play.
- Apple TV, iPhone and iPad: the App Store listing “Net IPTV Pro”.
Install it and note the MAC address
- Open the device’s store, search for Net ipTV and install it.
- Open the app. The start screen shows the MAC address (on some devices an APP ID instead); write it down. The developer uses it to route your playlist to this device.
- The trial starts on first use: the official Samsung listing gives 7 days.
The trial and the activation
After the trial the app is activated on the developer’s payment page. At the time of writing the developer lists €6.79 per device for 24 months or €13.99 for an unlimited licence; the page is the reference if the amounts change. Each activation covers one device, and it is a purchase from the developer that has nothing to do with your channels. Your IPTV Canada Neo subscription is separate — see our plans and refund policy.
Upload your playlist
Net IPTV loads channels from an M3U playlist registered on the developer’s upload page; with IPTV Canada Neo the M3U link is in your welcome email. The developer does not document an Xtream Codes login for this app, so use the M3U link.
- On a phone or computer, open the upload page.
- Enter the MAC address or APP ID from the TV screen, then paste your M3U link in the URL field so the playlist updates itself.
- Complete the reCAPTCHA and send the form; the developer asks you to wait a few seconds.
- On the TV, restart the app (or press the reload key the app shows, which the developer gives as the 0 key). Your channels appear.
If you ever edit a playlist file by hand before uploading it, the developer asks for UTF-8 encoding without a byte-order mark; with our ready-made link there is nothing to edit.
If it doesn’t load
- Empty list after uploading: compare the MAC address you typed with the one on the screen, re-send, then restart the app.
- Trial or activation message: the 7 days are up; activate on the developer’s page with the same MAC address.
- Channels play but freeze: work through our stream performance guide.
- Anything about your line: WhatsApp or the contact page.
